stones, ramps, modified waterways, and man make dikes which were man-modified
about 3,700 years ago during the Copper Haulers ear, which coincided with the
bronze Age on the east side of the Atlantic.
.
Many of these council members were
involved in planning for, or taking the successful VIKING WATERWAY tour in
Sept. 2013.
.
The Detroit Lakes Chamber of
Commerce was, and still is, the logical coordination place.
.
The Detroit Lakes Libraries have the
VIKKING WATERWAY booklet available for readers.
.

HI, REBECCA,

I have
moved four council members into the South Dakota council. They are:
.
Jan Deuter, Jan is knowledgeable
about the buffalo kill site near Ree Heights. The ARIKARA Indians at the
site may have been Norse Christians. The name, in )ld Norse, means the
"region of the cross." "RIK" may be "Reich,"
"ARA" may "A" = "plenty" "RA" =
"Rod," a Norse version of tne Cross.
.
Judy Cooper, may be related to Roger and
Bess Paine, who owned many sections of land in the Ree Hills.
.
Judi Rudenbush, is one of the most
knowledgeable persons about the Early American history of the Dakotas.
.
Robin Mueller went to school near Aberdeen, SD.
She is on a par with Judi about the Early American history. Robin
has found a better life in Michigan, but she may still be interested in South Dakota.
.
Whetstones
are now accepted as evidence that the Norse were in the area. South
Dakota has TWO 'WHETSTONE"
rivers. One is near Webster. One is on the west side of the Missouri
near Gaddes.
.
About 1,000
years ago, the Norse came sou6h from Hudson Bay. One route was via the
Red River to Big Stone Lake. But mostly they crossed over the elevated
tableland in western Minnesota to get to the Mississippi at Sauk (Saga) center,
MN.
.
The other
route was to pass southwest to get into the Missouri before it swings west.
There is a photo of old defensive works on the west bank of the Missouri south or Pierre.

.
The
hypothesis of a CHINESE boat bringing plague to the Mississippi and Missouri
rivers may explain many things found in South Dakota.
.
1. The
Mound of the Little People near Vermillion could be the burial of the Chinese
who perished there.
.
2.
The Crow Creek Massacre site may be a burial site for the people
overwhelmed by the plaque. While the site shows evidence of scalping, the
number of bodies in a mass grave seems to be too many for a situation after a
massacre.
.
The killers
may have not cared where the bodies were stuffed for burial. The nearest
ravines might have been used.
.
The Crow
Creek site may have been a burial site of people who suffered from the plague caused
by the Chinese boat. The scalping may have been a way for a person to
remember an honored ancestor."

Did
the AD 1430 Zhang He Chinese boat carry the plague, which caused the mass
burial at Crow Creek, SD and the Mound of the Little People near Vermillion,
SD?
