Has the interpretation of those pictures remained constant and true over the years?

This was the reply:

I think the interpretation has remained constant for 880 years because Roman Catholic Bishop Eric Gnuppson used the Drottkvaett format when he started the Maalan Aarum.
.
The Drottkvaett format is instructions telling a stanza maker how to make a packet of sounds that can be self-verified and self restored.  I will use the words "self verifying sound packet" or "sound packet," to reduce words.
.
The sound packet can be put together in any language.  Here is a sound packet I put together last fall in Minnesota:

The simple rules for a self-verifying sound packet are six syllables per line, with an alliteration and a rhyme, in every line.  The alliteration in the first syllable of every even line must match the alliterations in the odd line before.

If a person that you just met at a powwow said, "I am from Wynland."  Then you may say, "Prove it."   If he tells you the sound packet above, you might listen for the alliterations and the rhymes.  If you hear them you might say, "Welcome to the Wynland drum."

[The use of sound packets appear to have been the common method for the people of the sea to transmit vital information.  A receiver could be sure that the unknown speaker in front of him was telling valid information created by a familiar friend, who was thousands of miles and many months away.

The self-verifying sound packet might explain the mechanics of the miracle of Pentecost.  If the guards at the gate were allowing people, who could say “Mary” or “Jesus” and, who could complete a valid sound packet in any language, then people speaking different languages could be in a crowd praising Christ.

If self-verifying sound packets were the mechanism, the power of the miracle was not reduced.  Jewish officials may have been more amazed to have sea people from all over the Mediterranean gathering to honor a man, who the Jews had crucified.]

Rhymes come easy.  Alliterations come hard.  If they are in place in a sound packet, there is a very high probability that the syllables you hear are the syllables the stanza maker wanted you to hear.
.
Craig Judge and I worked up a scoring method.  One point is counted for each alliteration and each rhyme syllable.  The total is then divided by the number required. In my example, I composed a sound packet that would score 16/14  = 114%
.
When Craig and I used Sherwin's 30,000 Lenape words to decipher Lenape to Old Norse phrases, we never stopped decipherment until we achieved a 90% score.  Some times we had 150% scores.

So, I think we were actually finding the same Old Norse syllables that Bishop Gnuppson wanted his listeners to hear 880 years ago. Sherwin's eight volumes enabled us to translate the Old Norse to English.  The VITAL CRITERIA was the sound packets in Old Norse scored 90% or higher.

Bishop Gnuppson may have seen the Lenape boats rowing south out of Wynland via the Viking Waterway.  He may have made sketches on thin sticks of wood.  He may have spent many winter evenings around the campfire teaching the sound packets to crews of young boat men.
.
He may have given each crew a bundle of sticks.  As they rowed, the crew may have kept cadence as they repeated the memorized sound packets—six syllables = pull, six syllables = return.
.
The crews may have traded cloth for fur though out the Mississippi basin.  In the evenings the crews may have taught Genesis and left a bundle of sticks behind. Multiple reproductions, made later, of the sticks may have altered the sketches.  (I can show you examples of alterations.)

But the REAL IMPORTANT thing is the sound packet, not the sketch on the stick.  If the sound packet does not score above 90%, after decipherment, the sketch should be set aside.
.
Fortunately, we have not had to set aside any sketches.  
.
So I think that the syllables describing those pictures remained constant and true over the years.
