of the ALLTHING, where BIG
BIRD & HEAD BEAVER presented their proposal, is given in the stanza. BIG BIRD & HEAD
BEAVER knew they had to have the agreement of the men at the ALLTHING or there would not be a cooperative effort to migrate across the ice.

The Old Norse word “throeng”
meant, “multitudes.”

.
The ALLTHING was similar to
a summer fair were all the multitudes came together each year to trade, play,
dance, flirt, marry, and tell stories.
Also the men made decisions about issues affecting the common affairs of the multitudes.
.
At that time, Greenland and Iceland were
the only two republics in a world dominated by dictators, kings and Popes. Iceland recently celebrated
the honor of being the oldest continuous government, a republic that has lasted
1,000 years.
.
But after
they made the decision, many men apparently realized that the women and several men, who were
not at the ALLTHING, had not had their chance to vote on the proposal to walk away from Greenland. So the men at the ALLTHING may have recommended
that each of the 18 churches in Greenland should vote to agree to go to AKOMEN, the other side.

The recorded sounds of the stanza have enough alliterations and rhymes to qualify the sounds as a valid Drottkvaett
stanza. The Lenape historian
probably told the Moravian recorders what the sounds meant.
.
Decipherment may improve the
understanding of the sounds but the original English words appear to be valid.

Did you notice?
.
After the EXASPERATION
stanza, where the Lenape historian scolded the Moravian reccorders, the
historian gave the Moravians only a quarter stanza—twelve syllables – for each of the pictographs.
.
The historian's action may indicate a cooling of the relationship between the historian and the recorders. Because of that
apparent cooling, many details of the decision making process to leave Greenland may
be lost.
